A 10-year-old boy in California is now facing murder c stanley cup harges after he took a gun from his father s car and used it to shoot and kill another 10-year-old boy.According to theSac stanley cup ramento County Sheriff s Office, officers responding to a shooting call around 4:30 p.m. in the Foothill Farms community on Saturday found the victim unresponsive and bleeding from his head and neck in a parking lot.Deputies quickly began performing CPR until Sacramento Metro Fire Department arrived, but the 10-year-old victim was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.The sheriff s office said that after detectives arrived at the scene and interviewed witnesses, they detained 53-year-old Arkete Davis, who had asked his son to get cigarettes from his car. His son then found a gun in the car, bragged about it being his father s, then shot the victim once and ran into a nearby apartment.Detective stanley cup s found the gun near a trash can, suggesting Davis tried to get rid of it. They confirmed Davis couldn t legally have a gun, and the recovered firearm had been reported stolen in 2017.Authorities took the unidentified child, who shot the victim, to the Sacramento County Youth Detention Facility and charged him with m Crfa Whooping cough reported in Blaine County
HELENA -- In early May, the Last Chance Community Pow Wow announced that it would be canceling this years event in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and focusing on the af1 2021 pow wow.Tina Marcum, chair for the Pow Wow said, besides the obvious safety reasons for canceling the event, their main focus is on educating the community, which they arent able to do as a result of capacity restrictions. Though the pow wow is canceled, Marcum said theyre still trying to keep the community up to date during these times. We have a Facebook page, so they can message us. We have our phone still on, they can call us, and when we re out and about in public, if people who do know us they come up and talk to us, and we still try to stay connected with in that way, said MarcumMarcum noted theLast Chance Community Pow Wow hopes to begin fundraising for the 2021 Pow Wow in adidas samba the Spring of 2021.
