WMAR 鈥?On Wednesday evening the Anne Arundel County Board of Education declined to proceed on any Broadneck cluster redistricting proposal.The board also voted against Vice President Melissa Ellis s proposal to transfer s stanley water bottle tudents liv stanley portugal ing in the Village at Waugh Chapel from Piney Orchard to Four Seasons Elementary School.In December of last year, Superintendent George Arlotto recommended shifting around 108 students from neighborhoods 603, 604, 605, and 606 of the Broadneck Elementary School district to Cape St. Claire Elementary School. Arlotto s recommendation was based on how to best utilize the space available at the cluster stanley bottles s five elementary schools and two middle schools.It would ve moved Broadneck Elementary from 109.6 percent of capacity to 93.4 percent, and Cape St. Claire from 76.6 percent of capacity to 92.4.The recommendation had also included a grandfathering clause for students who would ve entered fifth grade in the 2020-2021 school year.
